° A Chinese lady -Xea Chen- was going to
translate the book to Simplified Chinese! She was
from mainland China and it was going to be ready by 20/12/2012. That
language edition
in Simplified Chinese would have allowed the book to reach China's main market, Mainland China,
where Simplified Chinese
is the Kanji symbols are used. Eventually, would also be published
in the old Traditional Chinese (for the Taiwanese and Hong Kong markets).
° Xea said she
speaks native Mandarin, and also native Cantonese. She has excellent
command of English, lived 4 years in the UK and then relocated to a new home in Auckland, New Zealand,
with her British husband.
° After committing to do
the translation, she just "disappeared", never to be heard from her again.
If you are a small Author, it is not easy to find translators, especially if
the remuneration offered is not the greatest.
The
only thing ready is the cover, which can be seen below in low resolution :O)
